Signs You May Need Furnace Repair

November 9, 2017 Furnace 0 comments

If you get chilled to the bone at the slightest drop in temperature, you should probably schedule a yearly furnace tune-up with Climatemp Heating and Cooling. We’ll make sure your furnace is ready to go when the temperatures start to drop.

If you didn’t schedule a furnace tune-up, but you encounter some problems when you turn on your furnace for the first time this fall, just give us a call. We offer same day service. Common signs you may need furnace repair include:

  • You’ve turned the heat on, but nothing happened

  • The furnace is blowing cool air instead of warm air

  • Your furnace is making strange noises

  • Your natural gas bill has skyrocketed

  • Your carbon monoxide detector goes off

All of our trucks are fully equipped to handle any furnace repair situation. If we’ve been to your house and repaired your furnace before, it may be time to consider replacing your furnace, especially if it is more than 16 years old. Older furnaces become less and less energy efficient as they age, taking longer to heat up your home. Around the 16 year time frame is when other parts start to wear out, as well.

The average life expectancy of a gas furnace is 16-20 years old. If furnace repair bills are eating into your budget, replacing your furnace could actually save you money. Not only would you not have the cost of repairs, but today’s furnaces are much more energy efficient, which will save you money on heating bills. Give it some thought, and if you’re interested in getting a quote for a new furnace installation, give us a call at 251-968-6006, or fill out our contact form and someone will get back to you shortly.

We’re an authorized Carrier dealer for this area, and can offer you special financing. Climatemp provides furnace repair and installation, along with a full range of HVAC service to Mobile AL and Baldwin County areas.
